enter Say Hello To FightCamp’s Little Sister – “FightCamp Skirmish”.
The pilot event will run in April 2018, on the 28th and 29th.
This compact version of our flagship event will offer a similar feel, in a new location, with some fun added extras.
Wait? What! Another FightCamp?
Don’t worry, your favourite event will still be running at the wonderful Grange next year in August.
We’re not pulling the plug on FightCamp, we have just decided it’s time to try something new too.
The Skirmish event is a fabulous added extra.
Something to keep us all going in the Spring.
Why FightCamp Skirmish?
Obviously, because it’s a cool word. But it also fitted with the feel we are going for.
Skirmish means “a fight between small bodies of troops, especially advanced or outlying detachments of opposing armies”
It’s the outlier, the forerunner to the main event.
FightCamp Skirmish will be relatively small. We’re going to release a maximum of 100 tickets.
The first event will run on a Saturday to Sunday only.
Two days, one night of camping in between.
FightCamp Skirmish Classes
We’ve got a great lineup of instructors for our first Skirmish event.
The usual suspects will all be covered.
But we’re adding in some thrown/shot weapons to keep things fresh!
There will be demonstrations, and a chance to have a go with some projectiles yourself.
Where Is FightCamp Skirmish Going To Be Held?
We’ll be running the event near Woking, in Surrey.
The site is attached to the wonderful Ripley Nurseries, and consists of a large field and small wooded area.
You can check out Ripley Nurseries on Google Maps, and you’ll find the field attached to their car park.
FightCamp Skirmish Facilities
FightCamp Skirmish facilities, and we can’t stress this enough, will be basic.
There will be plenty of camping space for those who want to stay on site.
If you aren’t a fan of the outdoors, then there are plenty of places to book yourself a hotel room nearby.
We’ll be hiring some portable toilets to keep things hygienic on site!
